Earth Week 2010

Earth Week is a series of programs, events, and festivals conducted annually the Saturday before Earth Day through the Saturday after Earth Day. The purpose is to celebrate Earth Day and learn about the wonderful programs and actions that are taking place in the community, even learn ways that you can go green in your life. This year we will be conducting guided hikes, an environmental expo, presentations, crafts, a Screen on the Green, a 5K, among other very exciting activities. We will be closing this event with the 40th Anniversary Earth Day Festival!

No Light Night Hike

Gravely Nature Preserve

Experience the ways of nocturnal creatures and learn what it is like to rely on senses other than sight. The group will be led by an experienced night hike guide (Gary Cody). Flashlights are not allowed. All ages are welcome!
